Dear Professor Minker,

Thank you for your letter of February 3. Enclosed is a %2curriculum vitae%*,
and copies of the four papers I've had published in Artificial Intelligence.
(One of them is only available in microfiche now.)
None of them deals with my dissertation directly, however.
I suggest you look over the short summary I sent, and contact some of
the references mentioned on the %2vitae%* (esp. Professors
Feigenbaum, Knuth, and Buchanan).

I have read through the course descriptions you sent, and am impressed
with the breadth of your department's offerings.
I feel comptetent to teach the introductory courses
(100, 103, 110, 120, 210, 220, 250, 400) although I was particularly attracted
by CMSC 250 and 400.
Of the more advanced courses, I am best qualified to teach
CMSC 620, 730, 858, and 898.
I also could teach CMSC 420, 440, 450, 452, 640, 733, 740, 745, 750.
Near the end of my %2vitae%* are listed some special seminar courses
which I could offer.
However, I am not looking for a purely teaching-oriented position, and
would expect not to teach more than 2 courses each term.

I hope to hear from you shortly.
